North American Rescue's Combat Gauze® is an effective hemostatic dressing, formulated for use in tactical and combat medical scenarios. It rapidly stops arterial and venous bleeding, and its combination of surgical gauze with an inorganic material provides the 3-fold benefit of promoting clotting, being inert and non-allergenic. It can be used on any wound size or shape, including penetrating wounds, and can be easily removed after clotting is complete. This top-level product is supplied in 4-yard rolls, 3-inch wide, and has been recommended by the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care.
