1st Choice CPR is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for our staff and helping our students to do the same. As such, we are closely monitoring the ongoing COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak according to the guidelines and recommendation of the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and HSI (Health & Safety Institute) .  We want to share with you the actions we are taking to help protect our staff and students.

We advised our staff to follow the public health authorities 2020 guidance regarding hygiene, and we have reinforced encouraging staff who exhibit flu-like symptoms to stay home and consult with a medical professional.

Classrooms have been reconfigured to meet social distancing guidelines.

Staff and students wear facial coverings during classes.  Frequent breaks are given to step outside.

We clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

Training equipment is thoroughly cleaned after EVERY training class, following the manufacturer's guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting.

Classroom surfaces are thoroughly cleaned after every training class.

Our CPR classes utilizes 1:1 student to manikin and pocket mask ratios.  Breaths are  NOT given at any time during class except with bag valve during Healthcare Provider classes (BLS, ACLS, PALS)

Blended classes have been offered for BLS, ACLS and PALS classes for years.

We offer classes frequently to optimize smaller class sizes.  Our CPR and 1st Aid classes are scheduled at least once a week.

We offer classes at your facility at your convenience at no extra charge.

We encourage students to use appropriate, self-managed efforts to reduce the chance for exposure during training:

-Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the

bathroom; before eating; and after blowing the nose, coughing, or sneezing. Alcohol-based

hand sanitizer and tissues are available at our classes.

-Avoid touching the eyes, nose and mouth.

-Cover a cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

-Stay home when you are sick and avoid close contact with people who are sick.

Anyone that registers for a class may cancel at any time. We do not charge students for "no-shows" or cancellations at our classes.  If a student has paid in advance for a class, they may get reimbursed or apply it towards a future class.

We appreciate the trust that you place in 1st Choice CPR.  We are grateful for the opportunity to serve you.  We will continue to closely monitor the situation and take actions necessary to help keep our staff and students safe while providing our services
