The BLS for Healthcare Providers Online Course provides a flexible alternative to classroom-based training. Part 1 is web-based (www.OnlineAHA.org) and accessible 24 hours a day. Through case-based scenarios, interactive activities and videos, this course teaches the concepts of both single-rescuer and team basic life support. Upon successful completion of Part 1, students receive a certificate that allows them entrance to a skills practice and testing session. For full course completion, Part 1 must be paired with a hands-on skills practice and testing session (Parts 2 and 3) with an AHA BLS Instructor.

The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.
